Field Trip to Old Adelaide Gaol - Thursday June 11, 2020

On a delightful sunny winters' day, nine members met at the Gaol to spend an interesting two hours touring what can best be described as a macabre, melancholy and historical part of our early history.  Whilst there were no longer any prisoners present, it was interesting to find the prison doctor still at his desk, and Elizabeth Woolcock, the only innocent prisoner hanged at the gaol, still sitting in her cell. The time spent touring and photographing went very quickly, before the group adjourned to Jarmers at Bowden for a very satisfactory lunch - an excellent day well spent.

Last Meeting - Zoom meeting: Critiquing member's images: 7.30pm, Wednesday May 29, 2020

14 members participated with several members having sent in images for critiquing. 26 images were submitted.  Members spent around 2 hours viewing and commenting on the images.  It was a successful, first virtual meeting for the club.

Welcome to Adelaide Hills Photography Club

Our members are spread over a vast area of the hills, all with one thing in mind and that is photography. We all come together as a group no matter what age, or ability with the camera. We all learn from one another and from the guest speakers that we invite to our meetings. We have competitions throughout the year. This is another learning experience as the judges pass on so many ways of improving our photography.

Outings are scheduled throughout the year to enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the club ibsclinic. We could travel within the hills or anywhere throughout the state. Workshops and interclub competitions are included in our program.

We are affiliated with the South Australian Photographic Federation. They run many courses to improve your skills, Field Trips and an annual competition, open to all members.

Our club meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening of every month, at the Anne Jolly Hall, Epiphany Place, Crafers. Start time is 7.30p.m.

All are welcome. We are here to help you even if you are new to photography. Just come along on any night and introduce yourself and have a coffee.
